Opihikao on the Big Island of Hawaii
My favorite spot is the tiny hamlet of Opihikao on the Big Island of Hawaii, as it is a place of natural beauty, where I reconnect with myself and feel more centered and present. The power of this place is rejuvenating and restorative - full of life’s natural elements - blue ocean, green jungle, clean air and blue sky, filling my senses, quieting my inner noise and replenishing my spirit. Truly in caring for this place, I feel that it gives me more than I take from it, as it recharges me so that I can hold it in my heart and share that joy with others.
There is a saying here in Hawaii, ‘imua,’ which translates to ‘moving forward together with a sense of purpose.’
Sending you warm aloha and imua!
My message reminds me of that Joni Mitchell lyric about ‘fills my senses and speaking in present tenses!’
