TOGETHER Bay Area
A regional coalition of nonprofits, public agencies, and Indigenous Tribes working together for lands, people and communities.
TOGETHER Bay Area connects, convenes and catalyzes action in support of the climate resilient lands – natural, working, rural, and urban – that are integral to a thriving Bay Area and the health of all of its people and communities. TOGETHER Bay Area works for a just and equitable society where we live in relationship with the land and sustain the lands that sustain us, for today’s and future generations.
New Agency worked with TOGETHER Bay Area in its evolution from the Bay Area Open Space Council into an organization adapted to meet today’s regional challenges to climate and equity. This process included finding a new name and creating a simple, strong visual word mark to represent it. To identify the best approach engage and grow the organization’s member base, we reviewed the TOGETHER Bay Area’s evolving mission, analyzed comparable regional collaboratives, and developed an identity imbued with unity, inclusivity and efficacy.
The timing of our process in the spring of 2020 coincided with the Coronavirus pandemic, making TOGETHER Bay Area’s mission of regional collaboration even more urgent. New Agency worked as a thought partner with Executive Director Annie Burke to accomplish the launch of the new organization in a time of crisis and renewed commitment to the lands that sustain us all.
